Fotografia no 2B_OFFICE: mobiliário feito em madeira de criptoméria certificada da Ilha de São Miguel, nos Açores O conceito: O 2B_OFFICE é um projeto arquitetónico visa alertar para a urgência da escolha de produtos certificados para promover a gestão ativa da floresta e seus benefícios no combate às Alterações Climáticas! O que significa: O 2B_OFFICE é um projeto direcionado para a comunidade e que contou com o envolvimento de diversos parceiros portugueses que pretenderam demonstrar o seu compromisso com a floresta certificada. A 2BForest apoia, desde 2017, proprietários com áreas florestais certificadas como entidade gestora de um grupo nacional de certificação FSC®. O trabalho que a 2BForest desenvolve nesta área envolve muitos desafios, sendo o principal a falta de reconhecimento pelo mercado dos produtos de base florestal certificados e a consequente falta da sua valorização. Esta realidade é muitas vezes a principal causa para a falta de motivação de certificar a floresta - não há reconhecimento do esforço e do investimento que é feito na melhoria da gestão florestal. Em 2019, com este problema em mente e identificando a necessidade urgente de alertar o mercado para a importância de garantir a sustentabilidade na origem dos produtos florestais na construção, a 2BForest iniciou o desafio de criar o primeiro projeto ibérico de certificação do FSC: 2B_OFFICE. O 2B_OFFICE tem dois marcos muito relevantes: · O espaço é aberto ao público, onde co-workers podem ter um contacto estreito com produtos certificados FSC e adquirir um maior conhecimento sobre a sua importância na proteção das florestas nacionais, e; · O envolvimento de parceiros nacionais, desde a floresta à transformação, promovendo o seu compromisso comercial com a proteção e valorização das florestas mundiais junto dos consumidores finais! Os parceiros da Região Autónoma dos Açores, permitiram levar ao 2B_Office um conjunto de mobiliário e revestimentos produzidos com madeira certificada da Criptoméria dos Açores, provenientes de florestas públicas geridas pela Direção Regional de Recursos Florestais e transformadas pela empresa Marques Britas, S.A.. Também se associaram clientes da 2BForest ao desafio de integrar este projeto inovador, como o Grupo Barros e Moreira SA e a Multiplacas com materiais que foram utilizados no fabrico de mobiliário 2B_Office! Este espaço tem ainda a cortiça como elemento de construção, material proveniente do Sobreiro – a Árvore Nacional de Portugal! O 2B_Office é o espelho que juntos e com inovação podemos fazer “Mais e Melhor Floresta”! FSC®-C135716 | Photo taken at 2B_Office: furniture made of certified cryptomeria wood from The Island of São Miguel, in the Azores The concept: The 2B_OFFICE is an architectural project aimed at alerting to the urgency of choosing certified products to promote the active management of the forest and its benefits in combating climate change! What does it depict: It is a project aimed at the community and which had the involvement of several Portuguese partners who wanted to demonstrate their commitment with certified forests. Since 2017, 2BForest has supported owners with forest areas certified as the managing body of a national FSC® certification group. The work that 2BForest develops in this area involves many challenges, the main one being the lack of recognition by the market of certified forest base products and the consequent lack of their valuation. This reality is often the main cause that explains the lack of motivation to certify the forest and apply Good Forest Practices - there is no recognition of the effort and investment that is made in improving forest management. In 2019, with this problem in mind and identifying the urgent need to alert the market to the importance of ensuring sustainability at the origin of forest products in construction, 2BForest began the challenge of creating the first Iberian FSC certification project: 2B_OFFICE. The 2B_OFFICE has two very relevant milestones: • The space is open to the public, where co-workers can have close contact with FSC certified products and gain greater knowledge about their importance in protecting national forests, and; • The involvement of national partners, from the forest to transformation, promoting their commercial commitment to the protection and valorisation of global forests among final consumers! The partners of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, allowed to bring to 2B_Office a set of furniture and coatings produced with certified wood from the Cryptomeria of the Azores, coming from public forests managed by the Regional Directorate of Forest Resources and transformed by the company Marques Britas, S.A.. 2BForest's customers were also associated with the challenge of integrating this innovative project, such as Grupo Barros and Moreira SA and Multiplacas with materials that were used in the manufacture of 2B_Office! This space also has cork as a building element, material from Sobreiro – the National Tree of Portugal! The 2B_Office is the mirror that together and with innovation we can make "More and Better Forests"! |
